Vonnie's last breath on earth was followed by her first breath in Heaven on April 15, 2018.

Yvonne Rose (McMahon) Malaponti, age 86, was born March 6, 1932, in Kansas City, KS, to the late William and Eloise McMahon. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Louie Malaponti, in 2007; and her sister and brother-in-law, Eloise and Johnny Troxell. She is survived by her children, Lou Malaponti (Peggy), and Ann Marie Van Buskirk (Eric); her grandchildren, Louie Malaponti (Alexandria), Jon Malaponti (Cierra), Ceara Van Buskirk, and Molly Van Buskirk; her great-grandchildren, Sophia, Juliana, Mia, and Bella; brothers, Joe McMahon (Carolyn), and Bill McMahon; sisters-in-law, Lucy Arthur (Larry), Theresa Pendleton (Gene), and Margaret Malaponte; and many nieces and nephews.

The Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. followed by Visitation at 10 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119. Cremation will follow the services with private inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38106.
