Lenore Jean Simone, 83, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 28, 2015, at Brookdale Clear Bridge in Overland Park, KS. The Rosary will be prayed at 9:45 a.m. followed by Visitation until 11 a.m. on Friday, July 31, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO 64131, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 3846 W. 75th St., Prairie Village, KS 66208; or St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

Lenore was born February 29, 1932. She graduated from Northeast High School in 1949 and worked in various secretarial jobs for three years. In 1952 she was hired by KCP&L and worked her way up over the years to executive secretary to the senior vice-president and treasurer. She retired in March of 1994. Lenore was a member of the KCP&L Quarter Century Club, More Friends, and the Red Bridge Social Club. Lenore and Tom traveled extensively to many parts of the world over the years.

Lenore, a loving wife of 60 years, is survived by her husband Tom. She is also survived by her sister, Charleen Aggeler (Harold); sisters-in-law, Mary Cimino, Carme Chalabi; nieces and nephews, Kristen (Kevin), Gregory (Sarah), Jessica (Josh), Lindsey, Phillip (Julie), Tom (Barbara), and Jeffrey (Theresa); 11 great-nieces and nephews; and four great-great-niece and nephews.
