Robert D. Smith's Obituary
Robert D. "Bob" Smith, 78, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016. Visitation will be 5 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055.
Bob was born July 27, 1938, in the Strawberry Hill district of Kansas City, KS, to William and Catherine Smith. He worked as a technician in the pest control industry for over 25 years and the garment industry prior. Bob loved his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially vacationing to Florida, and was a proud enthusiast of his '89 Corvette.
Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Smith; his children, Chris Smith (Cynthia), Savana Taylor (Robert), and Gina Teevan (Brendan); his grandchildren, Andrea Leahy, Madyson Smith, Bailey Teevan, Delaney Teevan, Eric Zapien (Breanne); his great-grandchildren, Sam, Charlotte, and Betsy, Zapien; and his brother, Gerald Smith (Janita).
