Frank Anthony Martino, 82, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016. The Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. followed by visitation from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Family & Friends will gather on Friday, December 30, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW Hwy 9, Kansas City, MO 64152, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to The Salvation Army.
Frank was born October 20, 1934, in Kansas City, MO, to Carl and Veda (Pisciotta) DiMartino, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Reserve. He was owner and operator of Northeast Painting Co. for over 50 years. Frank was a loving husband, father, papa and great-papa.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kristi Martino; his grandsons, Anthony Martino, Louis Calandrino Jr., and Aaron Morris; and his brothers, Joe and Charlie DiMartino.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Lee Martino; his children, Vita and Kevin O'Rourke, Ginni and Dr. Mark Steele, Sheri Martino, Frank and Catherine Martino; grandchildren, Dr. Kevin Jr. and Katherine O'Rourke, Frank and Nicole O'Rourke, Mary and Frank Miele, Megan O'Rourke, Alex, Luke, Libby and Mallory Steele, Jolynn Calandrino, Angela Morris and Dan Hicks, Shara Calandrino, Claire and L.A. Sorensen, Julia and Ted Yemm, Sam and Nick Martino; great-grandchildren, Lucia and Anthony Miele, Elinor O'Rourke, Lilyan Calandrino, Chloe Weddle, Haylee, Collin and Jacob Morris; sister, Angeline Bonavia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Jeanie DiMartino, Jack and Donna DiMartino, Carmela DiMartino; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Nancy Gordon; and his dog, Charlie Brown.
