Obituary

Benjamin Franklin Oxley, 82, passed away April 6, 2019. Visitation will be 11 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Ben was born February 3, 1937, in Atchison, KS, to the late James Henry and Zoba Ellen (Muncie) Oxley. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving 1954-57 and worked as a firefighter for the City of Atchison. He later moved to Kansas City and worked for Kenworth. Ben married Rosalie Lalumia on July 6, 1968, and to this union was born one child. He also had three children from a previous marriage.

Ben is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rosalie (Lalumia) Oxley; two sons, Jeff (Sherri) of Rantoul, KS, and Benny (Shannon) of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Debbie Sherer (Blaine) of Everest, KS, and Shirley Irvin (Ron) of Rosehill, KS; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
