Jack Joseph Gambino, 88, a loving husband, dad, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 20, 2021. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, KCMO. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 26, at the Funeral Home, followed by burial at Mt. Saint Mary's Cemetery.
Jack was born in the Northeast area of Kansas City, MO and lived there all his life. He served in the Army during the Korean War and met the love of his life Annice in 1957. They were married 61 years. Jack loved his three children, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren - with another on the way. His passion was carpentry (local union #1635) and building things such as furniture, cabinets, and bird and butterfly houses. He was a jack of all trades and could build anything.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa and George Gambino; his brothers, Vincent Gambino, George Gambino, Stino Gambino, Fonzie Gambino, and Charles Gambino; and sisters, Rose Orcutt (Junior), Marie Miller (Roy). He is survived by his loving wife, Annice J. Gambino; son, Michael J. Gambino; daughters, Regina M. Gambino, Rosemary A. Ziegler (John); sister, Nancy Escobar (Manny); five grandchildren, Danyelle M. Ziegler, Nicci M. Jean-Baptiste, Nessa A. Ziegler, Johnny L. Ziegler, Nicole M. Gambino; and six great-grandchildren, Sophia, Landon, Dawson, Damar-Lee, Mar-Quan, Ne-Keal.
Pallbearers: John Ziegler, Johnny Ziegler, Dennis Cypret, Paul Cypret, Dennis Cypret Jr., and Shawne Cypret.
Jack is loved and will be missed by all.
