Jasper "Jay" Joe Montaleone, age 69, passed away Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, three weeks shy of his 70th birthday.

Jay was born on January 28th,1955 to the late Frank and Frances (LaBella) Montaleone.  He grew up in the Northeast area and attended Gladstone Elementary, Northeast Junior High, and was a 1973 graduate of Northeast High School.  He worked at Bayer, Flint Ink, and Tnemec from which he retired in April 2021 after 24 years of employment.

Jay married his childhood friend, neighbor and classmate Nancy Bradley on June 20th, 1997.  He enjoyed music and was a talented drum player who collected many drum sets over the years.  He loved cars and was proud to own a Z28 Camaro.  As an only child, Jay was extremely devoted to his parents and took tremendous care of both during their lifetime.

Jay was preceded in death by both of his parents, Frank and Frances Montaleone , his grandson Caleb Hon, many aunts, uncles and several cousins. He is survived by his wife Nancy, stepson Dennis Sharkey Jr., daughter Melissa and many other relatives and close friends.

Jay's sense of humor, quick wit and humbleness will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
