Marie L. (Cascone) Lombardo 89, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to St. Mark's Church.

Marie was born June 21, 1928 in Kansas City, MO to Sam and Sarah (Billelo) Cascone. She devoted her life to her family always putting others needs before her own. Marie was a dedicated homemaker who loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed volunteering at a local hospital.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, John Cascone.

Survivors include her loving husband of 71years Anthony J. Lombardo; children, Marilyn R. Treat, Diana M. Berry (Matthew), Anthony S. Lombardo (Kimberly); grandchildren, Michael R. Campo, Paul A. Campo, Sarah A. Lombardo, and Joseph A. Lombardo; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Casey, Vinny, Leah, Samantha, and Sophia; sister-in-law, Virginia Cascone; and nephews and nieces.
