Obituary

Rosemary Abbolito Arnone, age 85, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Rosemary was born on September 16, 1939, to the late Joseph and Angeline (Grego) Abbolito. She was the fourth child and youngest of the siblings. She was a beloved wife, mother, nani, aunt, and friend, who was the rock and strength of the family.

Rosemary married her soulmate and love of her life Michael Arnone on November 16, 1963, and together they built a home filled with unconditional love, laughter, and trust. They were blessed with three children: Guy (Angela) Arnone, Deacon Joseph (Donna) Arnone, and Claire (JD) Delaney, each of whom she devoted herself to giving her children the best life possible and taught us the meaning of what family means.

The light in her eyes were her grandchildren Cara Lawrence, Grace Arnone, Dominic, Michael and Vincent Arnone, Nicole Najar; and great-grandchildren Anthony, Lily and Olivia Lawrence, whom she helped raise when they were babies by staying home and taking care of them while their parents worked. There never was a time at Nani's house that there wasn't a tray of "pink cookies" for them. For every birthday, holiday or celebration she was busy making their pink cookies, even once trying to change the color of the icing which, they all said, didn't taste the same - so back to pink it was.

Rosemary was an avid reader who always had a book in hand, sometimes reading two at a time. She was a wonderful cook and baker and taught each of her children at least one special recipe. But most of all she loved her "boys in blue" the KC Royals, and the KC Chiefs. She would say "how 'bout those Chiefs" and if you disagreed with her regarding their status, well, they were still the best professional teams in her eyes.

Along with her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death her siblings Mary Frances (Walter) Accurso, Phyllis (Pat) Marotta, and James (Barbara) Abbolito; father-in-law and mother-in-law Gus and Clara Arnone; sister-in-law Rose Marie (Jack) Ellis; son-in-law Nick Najar; and precious granddaughter Gabriella Marie Arnone.

She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
