Salvatore A. Dasta, 74, passed away November 22, 2017. The Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. followed by Visitation from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 27, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Family & friends will gather on Tuesday, November 28, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 309 Benton Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where the Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the American Stroke Foundation, 5916 Dearborn St., Shawnee Mission, KS 66202.
Sal was born December 14, 1942, to the late Joseph and Mary Dasta. He was co-owner of Mission Bowl until his retirement in 2000. He loved going to the lake, attending his granddaughter's softball games, was an avid sports fan especially bowling, NASCAR, and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Sal was preceded in death by his brother, George Dasta; sister, Mary Jo Ravasini; and son-in-law, Tony Carr. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Augustine (DeCapo) Dasta; his wonderful daughter, Mary Rose Carr; granddaughters, Maria, Erin, and Maddison Carr; great-grandson, Mason Pengra; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Mike O'Donnell; loving aunt, Josephine Lipari; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Anthony and Rita DeCapo, Vincent DeCapo; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
