Kathy Elaine Romano, a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan and loving family member, passed away on March 2, 2026.

Born June 8, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, Kathy was the daughter of the late Judge Anthony Romano Sr. and Marjorie Elaine Romano . She is also preceded in death by her son, Gary Lee Romano .

Kathy's joy for life was evident in her passion for traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada, and San Diego, California. Above all, she was a true Kansas City Chiefs fan, never missing a game and cheering on her team!

Kathy is survived by her brother, Tony Romano Jr., her sister-in-law, Stephanie Romano, and her grandsons, Dominique, Anthony, and Jon, along with her beloved Boston Terrier, Nova Lee. She is also survived by her cousins, Danny, David, Jimmy, and Dawn.

A private family gathering will be held, with no formal service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
